ode to hymn

SEEK THE LORD
Chorus : Seek the Lord when in trouble,
Seek the Lord midst your care,
Seek the Lord when you are happy,
Seek him everywhere.
When you wake at break of day
Just lift your heart and to Him say
“I don’t know what this day will bring
But Lord, I offer you everything.”
And when all your plans go wrong
O don’t complain, just sing this song –
“I’m disappointed, Lord, it’s true
But I accept it for love of You.”
And when you’re burdened down with care
Just whisper Him this little prayer –
“I’m worried Lord, what shall I do?
I think I’ll trust all things to You.”
When you’re happy and things are fine
Just sing to Him this little rhyme –
“O thank you Lord, You are so good,
O help me love You as I should.”

MAKE ME A CHANNEL

Make me a channel of your peace,
Where there is hatred let me bring your love.
Where there is injury your pardon, Lord
And where there’s doubt, true faith in You.

Chorus : O Master, grant that I may never seek
So much to be consoled as to console,
To be understood as to understand,
To be loved as to love with all my soul.

Make me a channel of your peace,
Where there’s despair in life let me bring hope,
Where there is darkness, Lord, your shining light
And where there’s sadness, ever joy.

Make me a channel of your peace,
It is in pardoning that we are pardoned,
In giving to all men that we receive
And in dying that we’re born to eternal life.

DO WHAT YOU DO, DO WELL !
He couldn’t move a mountain
Nor pull down a big oak tree
But my daddy became a mighty big man
With the simple philosophy…

Chorus : Do what you do, do well boy,
Do what you do, do well,
Give your love and all your heart
And do what you do, do well. Now, he was a man of laughter
But a tragedy came by.
The tears ran free and he’d say to me, “Never be afraid to cry.”
Today I still remember
Just like yesterday,
That mighty big man, with a mighty big heart
And a mighty few words to say.

My_Country,_’Tis_of_Thee

My country, ’tis of thee,
Sweet land of liberty,
Of thee I sing;
Land where my fathers died,
Land of the pilgrims’ pride,
From ev’ry mountainside
Let freedom ring!

My native country, thee,
Land of the noble free,
Thy name I love;
I love thy rocks and rills,
Thy woods and templed hills;
My heart with rapture thrills,
Like that above.

Peace like a river

I’ve got peace like a river
I’ve got peace like a river
I’ve got peace like a river in my soul
I’ve got peace like a river
I’ve got peace like a river
I’ve got peace like a river in my soul

I’ve got love like an ocean
I’ve got love like an ocean
I’ve got love like an ocean in my soul
I’ve got love like an ocean
I’ve got love like an ocean
I’ve got love like an ocean in my soul

I’ve got joy like a fountain
I’ve got joy like a fountain
I’ve got joy like a fountain in my soul
I’ve got joy like a fountain
I’ve got joy like a fountain
I’ve got joy like a fountain in my soul

I’ve got peace like a river
I’ve got love like an ocean
I’ve got joy like a fountain in my soul
I’ve got peace like a river
I’ve got love like an ocean
I’ve got joy like a fountain in my soul
